Chloe Koutsoumpeli
Chloe Koutsoumpeli was born in Thessaloniki in 1962. She has published ten collections of poems, two novels and two theatrical plays. Her novel with the title “Mr. Klein’s assistant” was in the short list of the Athens Prize of Literature and her collection of poems with the title THEY WHO EAT IN THE SAME TABLE IN ANOTHER LAND was awarded with the National Award of Poetry 2017. Her theatrical play “Orpheus in the bar” was put on stage in Patra’s Agora theater. Her poems and short stories have been published in various literary magazines, have been translated in eight languages and have been included in many Greek and Foreign anthologies. She is Vice president of Association of Thessaloniki’s authors and member of the Cycle of Poets and the Author’s Society. In 2020 a collection of her poems which have antiquity as their reference with the title “Antigone always forgets something when she leaves” was translated in Spanish by Jose Antonio Moreno Jurado and published in Seville.
