Chrysa Efst. Alexopoulou
Chrysa Efst. Alexopoulou was born in Amaliada and lines in Chalandri. She studied Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), attended post- graduate studies in Germany and holds a doctorate with honors from the Faculty of Philosophy of the NKUA. She served in Secondary and University Education, in Greece and Germany. Her thesis on Euripides, books and studies on philological subjects have been published. She has translated poems by the German poets Heine, Moerike and Annette von Droste- Hilshoff. Five of her poetry collections have been published (North of the South (2005), 30 and 1 Night Reflections (2008), Place inside (2012), Faos Light (2015), the last of which, Diving Voyages (Perispomeni 2020) was awarded by the Academy of Athens with the “Lambros Porfyras” 2021 prize.
