Danae Sioziou is a multilingual poet, cultural manager and educator interested in the intersection of arts, education and politics. She studied Literature, Cultural Management and European History in Athens, London and Berlin. She was co-editor of the literary journal Teflon. Her poems have been translated in twelve languages. The poetry collection Useful Children Games is her first and was published by Antipodes Editions. She was awarded the State Prize for Young Writers and the Jiannis Varveris’ Prize for Young Writers by Hellenic Writers’ Society. She has also been included in many anthologies. Her recent professional work in this field includes the literary workshop and event “AC-Biblio” bringing together publishers, writers and performers from Germany and Greece. Literary Activities 

In July 2015 she participated in the performance by Adonis Volanakis “Penelodiad: anAbstract” (based on the book by Margaret Atwood) which was shown in the Festival ofAthens. In May 2016 she was featured along with seven other Greek poets in the grouppresentation by The Guardian (“Meet the Greek writers revolutionising poetry in the age of austerity”). In October 2016 she participated in to the cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary art residency “Common Platforms” at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, bringing together artists from Greece, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, Argentina, Spain, and Great Britain. In 2017 she participated in Goranovo Proljeće Poetry Festival in Croatia. In March 2018 (German newspaper ZEIT and the Robert Bosch Stiftung Institute) participated in Platform21 in the International Bookfair of Leipzig in Germany. In August 2018 participated in Struga Poetry Festival in Northern Macedonia and in October 2018 participated in Druskininkai Poetic Fall in Lithuania. In December 2018 she participated in the educational programme for schools “Cavafy goes to School” running the workshop “A poem, a picture, an edition”, In January 2019 she co-organised the literary workshop and event “AC-Biblio” bringing together publishers, writers and performers from Germany and Greece.
