Elpidoforos Intzempelis comes from the island of Lesvos but was born and raised in Athens. He has degrees in pedagogy and theology, and he did his masters at the university of Birmingham. He was re-educated in Munich and worked as a teacher in elementary schools for thirty years. He has written many books and has published a lot of short stories, essays, poems, book reviews in many newspapers and magazines. He has also interviewed many writers. Some of his short stories have been translated in Albanian, German, and Spanish. He lives in the village of Menidi in Western Greece since 2002.
