Gina Karvunaki
Giorgia (Gina) Karvunaki was born in Chania – Crete – Greece. She studied Political Sciences – International Law, Italian Language and Culture, Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language and Script,in Italy. In Greece she studied Translation and Translatology.
She is an Associate Member, and the National Convener of Greece since 2007 of International Commission for the History of Representatives and Parliamentary Institutions (ICHRPI), Accredited Representative of the Nosside International Poetic Competition, which is under the Aegis of Unesco and a member of the International Theater Institute (ITI).
She lives in Athens and works as historical researcher, translator and event promoter. Her articles, translations and interviews are published in print and electronic journals in Greece, Romania and Italy. Her translations on theatrical works have been presented in Greece and in Italy. She was awarded by the Italian Institute of Athens in 2018 with the Luigi Pirandello Special Prize.
