Kris Livaniou has studied French and Greek contemporary literature in Sorbonne II, Paris, wherefrom she also acquired her PhD on Greek folk songs. She specializes in the relationship between man and God in Greek folk songs, looking into the boundaries of faith and fear in the face of death. She is also interested to chart the intertemporal course of mankind, as evidenced in folk tradition. She is a member of stigmalogou.gr editorial board. Articles and reviews of hers are published in various digital and printed magazines. She lives and works in London.
