Freedom of Speech Activities
Within the framework of the Thessaloniki International Book Fair we have organized a number of events that directly or indirectly address freedom of speech issues. E.g. we have organized a whole series of events entitled “Democracy in the 21st Century” which included issues such as the rise of the Far-Right politics and the weakening of democratic institutions (resulting in the infringement of the right to freedom of speech) internationally, while, we continue to organize events every year for the refugee experience where refugees speak for themselves, something rare in public space.
In the period between 2011-2014, he had been organizing similar events at ONASSIS STEGI Foundation for Culture.
