Maurizio De Rosa was born in Milan (Italy) in 1971. He translated into Italian, among others, the following Greek writers: Zyranna Zateli, Ioanna Karystiani, Maro Douka, Alexis Panselinos, Dimitris Dimitriadis, Aris Alexandrou, Dido Sotiriou, Pavlos Matesis, Antonis Samarakis, Napoleon Lapathiotis, Yorgos Theotokas and Nikos Nikolaidis for Crocetti (Milan), e/o (Rome), Effigie (Milan), Giunti (Florence), Aiora (Athens) and ETPbooks (Athens) publishing houses. He’s the writer of Bella come i greci, a history of Greek literature of 20th century, and La lingua greca. Una storia lunga quattromila anni, a history of Greek language from antiquity until today. He’s member of Italian Association of New Greeks Studies and Hellenic Authors Society. In 2016 he won the State Prize for the Translation of a Work in Greek into a Foreign Language for the translation of the work of Foteini Tzalikoglou, La sorella segreta, e/o Publishing House, Rome.
