
She was born in 1959 in Nicosia. She served as Deputy President of the Movement for Social Democracy EDEK from 2017 to 2025. She served as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (RIK). She is a member of the delegation representing EDEK in the leadership bodies of the Party of European Socialists (PES), and she participates in the High‑Level Working Group of the PES Presidency. She is the President of the NGO “Observatory for Children.” and also the President of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Special Olympics Federation. She has graduated the Cyprus Pedagogical Academy and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester. Since 1981, she has been directing her own enterprise in the field of education. In 1984, she authored a handbook entitled “Learning the Greek Language for Cypriot Children of the Diaspora,” accompanied by recorded instructional material produced in London. In 2014, together with her uncle, Dr.Nikias Livadas, she co‑authored the novel Life Without Full Stops. From 1986 to 2001, she was a regular collaborator of RIK, presenting television and radio programmes for children and young people, such as “Horizons,” “Crossword,” and “Starting Points.” She was among the first collaborators of the radio station “Radio Super” (the first free‑radio station in Cyprus), working as a producer of youth radio programmes. She collaborated with Lumiere TV, directing the children’s programme “Alaloum” and various music video clips, and with the television station “NEW EXTRA TV” as a member of the Expert Committee responsible for establishing the station, as well as with Radio Paphos.
