On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the death of the leading Colombian, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, Gabriel García Márquez, PEN Greece decided to honor his memory with an open call for a collection of prose or poetry with a free theme, based on magical realism.
And since Gabriel García Márquez was one of the most important ambassadors of the literary movement of magical realism, PEN Greece has gathered an excellent collection of unpublished literary works (short-stories, poems and hybrid texts) in magical realism, written by PEN Greece members and some of the most important Greek writers and poets. (We made an open call to gather unpublished material on magical realism).
This collection that will be dedicated to Gabriel García Márquez memory, will be published in Greek by Εnastron Publications and we will be published in Spanish too.
PEN Colombia also celebrates and supports the initiative of PEN Greece for this significant tribute to the life and work of Gabriel García Márquez. The logo of PEN Colombia and a letter by its President Mr. Carlos Vasquez Zawadzki will be included in this edition as well.
