Kostas Kavanozis (Komotini, 1967) is a greek language and literature teacher and a postdoctoral researcher in Creative Writing. His published titles include Wasting extra time (short stories, Patakis Publishers 2020), Tychero (novel, Patakis Publishers 2017, short-listed for the 2018 Greek State Literary Award and also for the 2018 “Anagnostis” Literary Award), The cardboard box (novel, Patakis Publishers 2015, short-listed for the 2016 “Anagnostis” Literary Award), The full light of the moons (short stories, Patakis Publishers 2011, short-listed for the 2012 Greek State Literary Award and also for the 2012 “Diavazo” Literary Award), Of this World (novel, Kedros Publishers 2009) and Pork with Cabbage (short stories, Kedros Publishers 2004). In 2012 he was granted a scholarship by the Centre National du Livre of France (CNL) as well as by the National Book Centre of Greece (EKEBI). Short stories of his have been included in various collective editions in Greece and translated into Albanian, English and French. He has written for the theatre and also publishes in newspapers, magazines and web pages. He is a member of the Hellenic Authors’ Society.
