Maria Kasimati was born and raised in Piraeus. She holds a degree in Classical Philology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is employed in the private sector. Since 2019, she has collaborated with the philological website filologika.gr, contributing articles and providing educational material. Her book reviews have appeared in the online literary magazine fractal, and she has received an honorable mention in the 6th itravelpoetry prose competition. Her publications include the historical study “Fighting in ’21”, T. Chatzianastasiou & M. Kasimati, Enallaktikes Ekdoseis, the historical novel “Rizes”, Elkystis Publications, the educational volume “Comprehensive Assessment Criteria for the Panhellenic Examinations in Modern Greek Language and Literature for Lyceum”, M. Kasimati & P. Galanis, Ziti Publications, and the short-story collection “Apochroseis”, Hydiepeia Publications.
