Pinelopi Alexiou is an Αnthropologist – Researcher and writer. She holds degrees in BSc Social Anthropology (Panteion University), BSc History and Philosophy of Science (NKUA) and the Postgraduate Programme in MMed Preventive Psychiatry (School of Medicine, NKUA). Currently, she’s a graduate student at the MA “Gender Studies: Methodologies, Theories, Policies” (Hellenic Open University) and she’s completing the MA “Creative Writing” (University of Western Macedonia). She writes book reviews and many of her poems and short stories have been published in the greek press and in literary magazines. She has a constant online presence through her bookish profile “Anthro-grafeas” on Social Media with news, presentations and interdisciplinary approaches to (contemporary) literature, while she often participates in festivals and other book events, where she presents books, co-organises reading clubs and literary discussion groups. Πένθιμη Γη (Mourning Land)” is her first poetry collection, published in greek by Vakhikon publications.
