Giannis Petrou was born in Athens in 1979 and grew up in Loutraki, Corinth. His childhood imagination was sparked by the stories told by his “storyteller” grandfather, which inspired him to write his first short stories during adolescence. Artistically restless, he has been involved in music since the age of twelve, participating in performances and singing competitions both as an independent musician and as a member of the Loutraki Philharmonic Orchestra.

He studied Economics and Management in Athens and worked in the banking sector until 2020. In 2011, he was honored with the Innovative Idea Award from Piraeus Bank. Alongside his studies and career, he immersed himself in foreign languages—he speaks English, French, and Spanish—which supported his great passion for travel. The images, emotions, people, and stories he encountered during his travels influenced him deeply and led him to spend long periods abroad in search of new experiences and adventures.

His first book, The Sweetest Sleep, was published by iWrite Publications in 2016, and his second, Eternal Return, was published by Pigi Publications in 2023.
