Ifigenia Amorgianou-Hantzi
My name is Ifigenia Amorgianou-Hantzi. I was born in Sofades Karditsa. I learned English, French and specialized in translation. I trained in Computers. I have been a permanent resident of Voula since 1992. I am married and have a son. I worked for 27 years at Asklipieio Voula Hospital as the Secretary of the Cardiology Department. After retiring from my service due to having a minor child, I started a second creative path in my life.
I wrote and published in 2013 my first novel THE GARDENER (which was re-released in 2023 under the title THE GARDENER FROM ANTIPAROS), my second novel in 2014 under the title BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, my third in 2016 under the title LOVE AND REVOLUTION and the fourth in 2023 titled SWEET POISON. The crime thriller THE BLUE DREAM was also published in 2020. My first collection of poetry has been released in 2020 entitled AN IDEA OF LOVE and in 2022 the second collection ΤΗΕ EXPECTED COURSE. Each collection includes 75 poems. At the same time, I am involved in writing children’s short stories. In 2024, my first fairy tale THE COLORFUL FISH was released.
My books BEHIND CLOSED DOORS and LOVE AND REVOLUTION have been awarded by the Unesco Association of Piraeus and Islands. I have also been awarded by the same association for my body of work.
I am also the president of the cultural association of Voula “YPATIA”
