Vasiliki Nikopoulou was born in Lamia on 6/2/1973, where she lives and works to this day, as a technician of structural and manager of construction projects, and writer and publisher of the house “Chronos Publications”. Her father is the painter and hagiographer, Dimitrios Nikopoulos. In 1980 she entered the field of literature, where her poems were published in local newspapers and magazines and were broadcasted in radio stations of Central Greece, receiving very good reviews despite her young age. She has been a founding member of the Association of Phthiotis Writers and Authors since 1990, where she has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2012 and as President for four year, 2014-2017. She edited the two collected volumes of Phthiotikos Logos “Thermopylae in Letters and Arts” and “Alamana and Athanasios Diakos”. She was the ambassador of Fthiotida at the Olympiad of Letters in 2004 and she has been a member of the Society of Greek Writers since 2016. Many of her poems have been published in many literary magazines and have been translated into English by Mary Kotsiliti and into French by Katerina Palamioti. Her poems have been set to music by the composers Ioulietta Papalexi, Kostas Nellas, Spyros Theodorou and Kostas Hatzopoulos (member of the musical group “Anemos”). She has won awards in poetry competitions and is the creator of the poetry writing workshop “MATHITEVO POIHSI”, and as of the Open and Closed Creators’ Cycles in Greece and Cyprus. Invited by various educational and cultural institutions, she has over forty years of writing experience since her first published poem and hundreds of presentations on a personal and editorial level.
