Olga Economidou was born in Limassol in 1975. She holds a BA in Education from the University of Cyprus (with Distinction) and a MEd Special Needs in Education from the University of Birmingham in the UK. She works as a teacher and a museum educator. She is an active member of various educational and cultural societies and a regular participant in European projects. She has presented her recommendations regarding good educational practices at various conferences. Some of her poems have been published in literacy magazines and anthologies and have been translated in English, German, and Italian. She has received prizes in Cypriot, Hellenic, and international poetry competitions. She is a member of «Pen Greece”, “Cyprus Writers Union”, “Vasilis Michaelides Literacy Union of Limassol” and “Cyprus Literature & Criticism Association”. She is also an active member of the organizing committee of Larnaka’ s World Poetry Festival (Cyprus). Her first poetry collection called “Thamnolivada” has been recently published in Greece by Mandragoras Publications (Athens, 2023).
