Sofia Chaniotaki was born and raised in Ierapetra. She teaches Greek and Spanish and is a PhD candidate at the Complutense University of Madrid. She has been writing since her teenage years, drawing inspiration from the paradoxical, pleasant and unpleasant circumstances of life. In 2022, her first collection of poetry entitled ‘Deka Selides’ (Ten Pages) was published by Vakxikon publications.
