Xanthi Koutsogianni
Xanthi Koutsogianni was born in Lamia where she lives. She is a culturalist and she used to work as a classifier at the National Central Library of Lamia. Between 2006 and 2015 she was a permenant associate of the newspaper “Paratiritis tis fhiotidas” in which she established a culture column.
She has been writing poetry since her school years. She has published four poetic collections: “Ultrasounds” (1991), “Beyond the horizon” (Kalendis 1994), “Night ode” (Kalendis 2006), “The ecstasy of silence” (Gavriilidis 2015).
She was included in “The Big Encyclopedia of Greek literature Chari Patsi” and in a variety of printed and online anthologies. Her poems and critics about her work have been published in literature magazines like the following: Dekata, Emvolimon, Paremvasis, Theuth, Noumas, Umbrella, Sisyphous, Parodos, Pnevmatiki zoi, Poetix, Fthiotikos Logos.
She is a member and a former president of “The Fthiotis society of men of letters and Authors” and of the editorial committee of the magazine “Fthiotikos Logos”, a president of Board of directors of “ Smartening and Cultural Association of women” and a member of “Primary Gender Equality committee” of municipality of Lamia. She has organized and presented a variety of cultural events in which she was the main speaker.
For her contribution in literature and culture she has been honored by “The Holy Metropolis of Fthiotis”, “Pnevmatiko kentro Roumelioton”, and “The Fthiotis society of men of letters and Authors”.
