Dr. Vissaria Zorba – Rammopoulou is an educator and literary author. Her literary work consists of books for both children and adults. Her novel “The Hidden Toy Factory” (Patakis Publications) received the Greek Children’s Book Circle Award. Her book “Pages of an Adolescent Winter” (Patakis Publications) was shortlisted for the Greek State Literary Award, and “The Avar Summer” (Kedros Publications) was included in the shortlist of Anagnostis literary magazine. In 2018, her academic monograph titled “New Educational Institutions and Globalization” (Grigoris Publications) was published, based on the findings of her doctoral research. That same year, she was honored by the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation for her tragedy “Meleagros: The Son of Althea”. In 2019, her historical novel “The Broken Engagements – April 29th, 1453” (Patakis Publications) was shortlisted for the Greek State Award for Young Teenagers’ Literary Book. Her most recent novels are: “Ubaida: The Caravan of Souls” (Patakis Publications) and “The Pharmacist of Lepanto: 1571 – The Year of the Sea Battle” (Arteon Publications).
