Sofia Motsia

Sofia Motsia is a writer and facilitator specializing in creative and mindful writing. Born in Katerini and raised in Athens, she now lives and works in Norfolk, England. She holds a degree in Theatre Studies and a Master’s in Creative Writing. Writing is a central axis of her life and research, both as a literary practice and as a tool for self-awareness and personal development. In recent years, she has been deeply engaged with mindful writing, combining experiential practice with theoretical approaches to mindfulness. Her book, Five Paths to Mindfulness (Grafima Publications), offers a structured programme in mindful writing. It draws from both contemporary and timeless approaches to awareness and is inspired by teachers such as Thich Nhat Hanh and Jon Kabat-Zinn. The book is also available in English, titled The Write Way to Mindfulness. In addition to her writing, she develops and facilitates programmes, seminars, and workshops for individuals, groups, organisations, schools, and municipalities, tailored to the specific context. Writing and reading, combined with mindful presence, construct the foundation of her methodology, enabling focused attention, effective communication, and a deeper self-connection. She is the founder of WriteOneself (www.writeoneself.com), a platform for her work in mindful writing and creative expression.
