Lena Frangopoulou was born in 1962 on the island of Limnos. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering (NTUA), French Philology (University of Athens), and Spanish Philology (University of Athens) – in that order.
She has worked as a translation instructor, interpreter, translator, editor, columnist, and copywriter – not in that order.

Her short stories have been awarded in literary competitions and published in collective volumes. One of her novellas has been published by Patakis under a literary pseudonym and was staged at the EPI KOLONO Theatre (for three seasons, 2018–2019).
