Michalis Griveas is a Greek author, a member of the Hellenic Authors’ Society (E.E.L.), the Panhellenic Union of Writers (P.E.L.), and Pen Greece.
He was born and resides in Athens. He is married to Manina Bazaiou and is the father of Konstantinos and Chrysanthi.
He studied at the Department of Surveying Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He pursued postgraduate studies in Regional Development at Panteion University in Athens. He worked as a surveyor engineer and spatial planner. He has been socially active from his student years to the present day.

  • Seven individual books of his have been published (5 novels, 1 novella, and 1 short story collection) along with 4 collective books in which he participates with his short stories.
  • In the early years of his writing career, he participated in literary competitions, earning 11 distinctions (4 First Prizes) for an equal number of works (2 novels, 2 novellas, and 7 short stories). In recent years, he has ceased competing and now serves as a judge in several literary competitions.
  • One of his short stories has been turned into a Radio production.
  • He has 4 theatrical adaptations of his literary works, based on short stories or excerpts from his books.
