Born in Athens in 1979, Hera Papapostolou studied Art History and Archaeology in Paris (Paris X Nanterre, Paris I Sorbonne), specializing in Contemporary Art and Philosophy-Aesthetics. She took lessons in creative writing, theatre, classical guitar and drawing. She worked at the Vourkariani Gallery on the island of Kea, The Galerie du Haut-Pave in Paris, The Mihalarias Art Gallery in Kifissia, thw International Council (ICOM) in Thissio and The Ianos Art Shop in Golden Hall in Maroussi. She collaborated with the Archives of Modern Greek Art, the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Crete, the Art Chania, The Hellenic American Union, The Tsichrintzi Foundation, the Art Athina 2014 & 2015, the Loft, the Italian Institute of Culture in Athens, the Melina Cultural Center and with many more art galleries in and outside Athens. She wrote the books titled ” Images of the Century, Skoulakis, Symbols of World Acceptance ” (Adam Editions), “The 1000 Faces of the City and the Capital”(Oselotos Editions), “The Wound of the World, The Song of a Goat, The Road of Love” (Oselotos Editions), “A Woman for Home” (Oselotos Editions), “Peli” (Oselotos Editions), “Characters and Professions” (Peritechnon Editions) and “Always Late” (Oselotos Editions). She was awarded for her short story “45 Degrees” in the competition of the newspaper “To Vima” on A story about the crisis. She organizes exhibitions, prefaces artists’ catalogs, writes articles in Art22.gr and deals with literature and songwriting. She is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (aica). She lives and works in Athens.
