Athanasios Stavros “Akis” Karapanagiotis is a journalist and poet from Greece. He was born in Patras in 1994 and has been living permanently in Cyprus since 2022. He studied Journalism in Athens and Public Relations and Media in Edinburgh. In 2025, his academic thesis was published under the title “Framing as an essential function of creating propaganda: Exploring the link between frames and propagandizing,” which was written in 2021 as part of his studies. He is a certified professional coach and mentor.

He has worked in a wide range of roles as a media and communications professional, as well as in other professional activities in Greece, Cyprus, and abroad. At the moment, he works as an editor for a Pancyprian news outlet. He loves knowledge, getaways, and his family.

A deeply thoughtful individual, he has dedicated his life so far to the study and exploration of the human condition, whether on a collective or individual level. This forms the foundation of his poetic journey, which initially took place in the publishing world of Greece. Since 2026, he has been active in publishing in Cyprus as well.

He is the author of the poetry collections “Deigma Anthrōpou” (Human Sample; Athens, 2023), “Katharsis” (Catharsis; Athens, 2024), “Antilipsi” (Perception; Athens, 2025), and “To Idion” (The Self/The Peculiar; Nicosia, 2026). He has also participated in collective anthologies and cultural magazines in Greece and Cyprus and has received distinctions in Panhellenic poetry competitions. Occasionally, he publishes philosophical essays online.
