Mika Ntaka

Mika Ntaka was born and lives in Rhodes. She has wandered the paths of poetry since childhood, in search of her own land of Utopia. She has published two poetry collections (Memories and Phantoms and The Compass Pointed to the Road), and has contributed to various collaborative works in poetry and short fiction. Her work has received recognition in several literary competitions, including the World Poetry Contest on the theme of the Greek War of Independence of 1821, organized by the International Hellenic Association. She has also been awarded by the ‘Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands’. Her poetry is regularly published in respected literary journals in both Greece and Cyprus. Mika Ntaka teaches at a primary school and holds a PhD in Children’s Literature from the University of the Aegean. She has also worked as a radio producer, creatively blending rock music with literature. She loves rainy days, horror stories, and views poetry as both a form of resistance against decay and a quest to reclaim lost visions.
