French-born from Greek origins, Joelle Lopinot chose to live in Greece and dared to write in a language that wasn’t maternal to her. She studied French Literature at the University of Grenoble as well as the National University of Athens. For more than 20 years, she worked as a teacher and is a mother of 4. As of 1996, she devoted herself exclusively to the writing of novels and children’s books. She is sensitive and passionate as it relates to issues of racism, gender equality, women and animals abuse.
